Let's all come up with some universal rules and guidelines in reference to playing RL2 online.... this should cover online behavior, glitch exploitations and lag outs.

I'll kick some off,

Kicking off to your opponent, you should try to keep the ball in play. Kicking it out or short 10 kickoffs can be left to when your playing against the computer.
Scoots from dummy half should only be limited within your own 40 meters. You don't see Buderus scooting when he's 30 meters away from scoring, don't do it here.
If you're losing and disconnect, expect to be reported here. If you disconnected do lag or windows error then you're able to defend your accusation and hopefully successfully request a rematch with that opponent.

how are we going so far?

Nice, I agree with all of them except for the scooting one.

Adding on to the rule 3

If you are disconnected during a game or the game stuffs up,Try and find the person you were playing or b4 hand tell them you might expeirence some problems

(My first match, I went to play the ball and i couldn't pass, The opponent could still move, Sorry to who you were :) )

Adding onto another rule

4:Don't turn it into Rugby Union, By just kicking field goals whenever you get into your half  (Not that anyone has against me yet)

I disagree with this rule. Its a legitimate tactic.

It's a cheap tactic...

No its not. It could easily become unstuck.

Its a perfectly respectable tactic.

I disagree with the first two "rules" you have posted.

But as for the disconnecting when you're losing, that's just sad. I was up 1-0 with 40 seconds to go and had a penalty in favour of me. He pauses. I wait. I wait. I wait. He disconnects. If I could remember his name I would post it in a thread of shame.

Not really... Your markers have slow reactions so you can get at least 8m every scoot.

I was talking about the field goal rule, not the scoot rule.

Yes you do, hookers jumping out from dummy half close to the line is a good tactic, a short ball onto a foward's chest at close range is a great way to score a try in real life.

But the rest of those "rules" (for lack of a better word) are ok.

The 3rd one i agree with but the others are rubibish matie, their all legit tactics if u were down by 4 with a minute to go u would try to kick the restart out thats why its in the NRL rules. Ive found its alot harder to do in RL2 than in the first one.

On that rule again, Don't be quick to judge and report them, As sometime it might be a legit reason (game crashes)
