Thats an understrength NZ team. Heres a real team:
1.Brent Webb
2.Lesli Vainikolo
3.Nigel Vagana
4.Paul Whatuira
5.Matt Utai
6.Benji Marshall
7.Stacey Jones
8.Paul Rauhihi

14.Robbie Paul
15.Sonny Bill Williams
16.Jason Cayless
17.Roy Asotasi
Sonny bill/robbie paul/asotasi are much better off the bench as impact players. Evidence -> last years grand final.

Good point but how can you have a bench full of impact players without Paleeaesina......?????
and what about Cayless didn't work too great as an impact player in the test...
Oh and Richard Swain won player of the year and players player of the year in his first season for Hull also won the Hit man trophy for being the best tackler in Super League.

Palaesina is a great impact player at club level. He doesn't have the experience and probably endurance at international level, there's a reason why NZ selectors leave him out.

i still reckon at full strength, no team can beat australia. nz have great players no question. but the superstars like fitzgibbon, lockyer, johns (when in form) minichello, and the rest all are too good for them i think.
My Nz team would give the aussies a run for their money:
1 Brent Webb
2 Matt Utai
3 Nigel Vagana
4 Clinton Toopi
5 Lesley Viankola
6 Benji Marshall
7 Thomas Leulai
8 Jason Cayless
9 Monty Bentham
10 Ruben Wiki
11 Joel Galuovo
12 Tony puletua
13 SBW
14 Robbie Paul
15 Paul Rahuhui
16 Ali Laulatiti
17 David Solomona ( best Nz player in the country )

No offense but Leuluai...he's got no kicking game whatsoever Joey would run rings around him

Rofl why do still say Joey would run rings around him or Johns should be in the australian side,,,...
Someone used this example, and i think it's great for example:
"A fully fit Joey Johns would run rings around leulalai, But a fully fit Wally Lewis would run rings around Johns" we are talking about present day, Not what past players are better than present representative players, Joey is gone, i highly doubt he will ever rep australia again

I think the only thing that NZ lack is in the halves. On their day, they can match Australia in every other department.

i tell ya what i think!!! i think that the NZ halves Leuluai and marshall are young and will only get better!! without lockyer we would have lost that game!! cause kimmorly has got nothing!! stacey jones c'mon he is over the hill dont ya think!! Leuluai is a kick half back! if joey johns was a kiwi i wouldnt put him over Leuluai ever!! and i go for knights!!

I'd back Joey to get back for the tri-series (depending how long he's out for not too sure) but look what he did against the Warriors he ran that whole game and look what happend when he went off.
I also don't really rate Leuluai at all but thats just my opinion.

Joe Galavoa has been playing crap since hes great season in 2003. I dont think any nz team with whatever nz players would beat australia maybe make it more competitive but not beat them. You could say is Australia picked a in form team they would have won by more, its all debatable. Australia is still no.1 in the world but gb and nz will give them ago in the tri nations and this could be the year they finally lose a tournament in their excellent dominance of the world game. The aussie team didnt play that good in the test anyways.
