I gotta say after SA's peformance i was very disappointed. Australia were always in control and never looked like losing but now looking at the 06/07 VB series you would think that the best 3 ODI teams are in it. Australia, New Zealand and England! Gotta say that Sri Lanka's current form and what the South African's are coming off, this isn't going to be a very exciting VB series!

england arent a good one day team. in 05 they won like 7 games and lost 15, and 4 of those wins were aginst bangladesh. id have to say that the best 3 one day teams would be aus, nz and pak

I agree with BrisbaneRabbitohs.
Was it 02/03, that England came here, and lost every game against Australia in the VB series?

England are actually quite a poor one day side, despite having a number of potential match-winning players. They havent really settled their side properly, and players dont really know their roles.

Dont judge the South Africans based on that Twenty20 match. They left out two of the best three bowlers (Langeveldt and Nel), got unfavourable pitch conditions (batting under lights caused due to form and made the ball move away off the seam) and they didnt seem like they prepared for/cared about the game as much as the Australians did.

England for me.. Have no chance in the ashes Nor the Vb Series. Their Pethetic away From home. Just look what Pakistan did to them

That just proves they are poor in Pakistani conditions - not away overall. I think they'll do quite decently on Australian pitches with their pace attack.

If you look at the side you just fear them but i'm not really worried with the Ashes, especially when reverse swing doesn't last that long on our pitches.

Reverse swing has almsot nothing to do with the pitch. Its based on the ball and the atmospheric conditions.

Granted, Australian balls and atmospheric conditions arent as responsive to reverse swing, but it has almost nothing to do with the pitch.

Again i knew that already, everyone knows that kookaburra balls swing don't last as long in Australian condition.
You don't have to correct every freaking thing that people say, it's annoying.

If you knew that already, why did you say "our pitches"?

Do i have to be specific? Everyone gets the idea of what i am saying and you just try to act smart.

If its the difference between you being incorrect and correct, then yes.

After I read it, I thought it deserved a mention in this thread.

Its the biggest crowd since the Gabba was rebuilt, with new stands etc, but its not the biggest crowd ever.

Its impossible to get more than 40,000 in there now, but it wasnt in earlier years.

Yeah, Prince is right. There were less than 40,000 people at the Gabba yesterday.
