5-7 7-5 6-0 6-2

He won the first set then took the Fe express all the way in the second but was eventually blown off the [Melbourne] park in the third and fourth. I started going for him after he beat Roddick. Sad not to see him win. This was a big chance considering Roger was severly out of form during the tournament. He never really stamped his authority. There were glimpses (5th set against Haas for example) but he never dominated big time.

The whole match against Davedenco was a shellacking. Theats the thing about Federer, though. He can play poorly and still take the bicuits. Oh well, in the end Federer was just to good for the inexperienced Bagdahtis.

Bagdahtis is now ranked 26th in the world. He entered the tournament at 54th and was 250/1 off to win the comp.

Baghdatis put the interest back into Mens tennis though, you have to give him that. I am a big FEDERER fan but after watching the entertaining style of Marcos you can say that Mens tennis is going to get very interesting in the the coming years as this lionhearted player ascends through the ranks of tennis elites. I enjoyed the final because after the first and second set, it really was anybody's game and in the end I guess that natural ability and experience took over as the FED EXPRESS systematically destroyed Baghdatis's game. Many players Marcos faced on the road to the final didn't give him space to showcase his shots which Marcos nailed with ease down the line or cross court, last night Federer took him on and made him play the angle and the line to which Marcos just couldn't get right after the first two sets. It must be so hard to play against an opponent who can literally pick apart your game and for you to then try and create a new one it would be all too late. KUDOS to Baghdatis though he is certified CHAMPION.

Yeah Baghdatis' run was similar to back in 2001 or was it 2000 when Goran Ivanisevic won Wimbledon

i was there at the match...a stack of fights took away from the match but it was still awesome. I was suprised when federer was brought to tears on the podium, i didnt think he'd care that much after winning so many times. Guess that goes to show how much pressure baghdatis put him under.

Fake my ass. He works hard and when he finally wins he knows that his hard work payed off and all pressure is releived, also he knows he is creating history with each grand slam win.

It wasnt an opinion... You clearly called him a 'girl' because he shed some tears.

I bet you wouldn't say the same if the Cowboys won the premiership and the majority of the players cried.

Difference between Federer and the Cowboys. The Cowboys are a team. It is so much different to Federer. The Cowboys go through the highs the lows. And their all their to win it for eachother.

If the Cowboys were to win a Premiership i would cry.

But Roger has a team to. His family, coach, wife etc. I am sure all of them ride the highs and lows with Roger just as the Cowboys would.

hello look its me..the guy who said there were fights!! and no i wasnt lieing....there was about 3 verbal (not physical) fights between two particular parties, and there was another..if you were there youd remember..where while they were playing some guy was like shut the up a couple of times, as well as another incident near some friends of mine where something happened with a few greek supporters (im not being racist at all just pointing out who they were) were the police came and spoke to them, before everyone in the crowd near them got moved and they were cleaning something up with mops and buckets. Thats what i was told anyway..they wouldnt lie about that though they are respectable adults before anyone says that...theres just no need for it really.

Once Again, Did i say it made me feel Good? I Simply said i thought he was a girl Because he cries after winning every Grand Slam. I believe he Puts it on as he knows hundreds of millions of people are watching. Blackmagic Get Over it it's my Opinion. I'm Ending this Conversation.

Well, no, your actually not ending it. You may have an opinion, but when an opinion is degrading to one person or rather, someones going to say something about it. Some guy walks up to you and says in my opinion your a so and so..your not going to enjoy it are you. But anyway, to really end the convo, IMO, he does not put it on, and is genuinely relieved when he wins a championship. besides, having him cry on telly all over the world doesnt help him much at all. Nice talking to you cowboys.

Yeah Cowboy's your a dead set !d!ot so what if he cries. That shows the huge amount of respect and admiration that he has for Rod Laver who presented him with the trophy and he loves Australia because of his mentor and Laver and so forth, so he bursted into tears. Genuine tears. Plus dude what kind of man wants millions of people to see him crying...
