4. Steven Bell
5. Brent Tate*
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Johnathan Thurston

I wouldn't pick that side, but that's my prediction.

On the wing. I think they would put him on the Bench instead or have him at fullbakc and Bowen on bench.

Willie Tonga is suspended.
Didn't Tonga only get two matches though? One is this weekend, one is Round 10. That still gives him one game for the Bulldogs before Origin.
On the wing. I think they would put him on the Bench instead or have him at fullbakc and Bowen on bench.
Why would they have him on the bench? I think he could go well on the wing...Payne is better off the bench anyway.

Yes, on the wing. All the other options (Schifcofske, Wesser, Tonga etc) would all be playing out of position as well. I think Hunt will get picked if Tate isnt fit.

What about Chris Walker (Joke)
I spose Hunt could play on the wing.

My team:
1. Lockyer (c)(showed he hasn't lost it, we need someone whose safe)
2. G.Inglis (there aren't too many options and he's a very good youngster)
3. J.Hodges (the form centre)
4. S.Bell (the other form centre)
5.
6. J.Thurston(needs to be at 5/8.should benifit from experience inside and out
7. S.Prince (we need his organisation)
8. P.Civonaceve (i don't really think petero performs at origin but there aren't too many options)
9. C.Smith (great young dummy half)
10. S.Price (we need some experience)
11. D.Stagg (great youngster who deserves the chance)
12. C.Webb (there aren't too many other options)
13. T.Carroll (with lockyer at 1 we have 3 playmakers & therefore we need a ballrunner at lock)
14. S.Tronc (been playing great)
15. S.Thaiday (will provide great impact off the bench)
16. C.McGuire (can cover for alot of injuries plus can come on as a lock or a hooker)
17. M.Bowen

casey mcguire can be used as a lock and utility. We usually have flannery and he's a worse lock than McGuire. As for Prince, he was brilliant last year and i think if he has both lockyer and thurston around him he'll be able to play well.

Thurston is a better halfback than Prince is though. Matt Bowen is the second best fullback right now - better than Lockyer. Lockyer is the second best player in the world when he plays 5/8th. Casey McGuire should be replace with Aaron Payne - that guy has had a great season.

What does that mean?..
It means that your post highly resembled something benji6 would do. From the font you used for the team headings, to the typo of the words "Hodges" and "Thorn", right down to the selection of Nate Myles.
There's also the fact that benji6 is known as "dylz" on another forum, which just so happens to be the end part of your username. But I only noticed that just then - my original post was based purely on the similarities between your team selection and the workings of the great banned forumer.

There are a lot of benji-isms in that post though. He used the same font as Benji often did and also mispelt Hodges and Thorn which benji did every time.

McGuire isn't really a forward though...only 2 forwards on the bench is going to hurt us, especially with older players like Civo and Price. Thorn hasn't even cracked the Broncos side yet, only when we have most players out injured...

u gotta have a space in there for corey parker, he's been nailing goals from both sidelines and is awesome in the 2nd row for the broncos, would definitely be the goal-kickiing problem solver as i rate him hgiher than johnathan thurston in that department.

No, he is useless player. Thurston can kick goals too, and we have plenty of back-rowers better than Parker.

If Johnson isnt in the origin team i'l....., yeah i'l go nuts!
He is deadset the BEST tackler in the NRL both techniquely and by the amount he does per game. Stagg makes plenty of tackels too, but not as venemuos as Johnsons. And HArrison is super fit, a good tackler and a good ball player for a back rower.
Like someone else said before, PArker doesnt seem to have the mongrel neede for origin. He is a good goalkicker, but so is Smith and Thurston.
Johnson is the next Gillmeister!

Johnson has a great technique, but his tackles don't really sting. I don't mind players being backed on basically defence alone, but if they are, I'd like to see them make their tackles count rather than just have a big workrate and high tackle effectiveness. Johnson offers complete 0 in attack as far as Im concerned so he shouldnt be considered.
I think Harrison is a decent lock... not quite rep standard but almost. However, with Carroll there already, he's not going to play lock. He's not effective in the second row and hence shouldn't be picked at all.
Stagg is similar to Johnson but he has a little bit more skill with the ball. His defence is quite as good but it's pretty close and he actually has a small value with ball in hand.
Parker is a better option than all of these players as he can, shock horror, actually make ground with the ball coming out from his own end in heavy traffic. Stagg, Harrison and Johnson would just get hammered attempting a hitup in these cirumstances.

I utterly and completely isagree with you. But hey, isnt that the beauty of our sport and our country, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Now, did you not see the tackle Johnso put on Galavou on the weekend. He drove in and slammed him on his back. Galavou got up gingerly and was winded. THAT WAS A TACKLE WITH A BIT OF STING.
And wasnt a one off. He does it every game
