After playing the demo a bit I noticed the graphics are good but the textures could be better. This got me exploring. Being in the Design industry i found my way looking for image files and happened to find them.
Not content with what we had (being in the industry I'm very picky and always look for ways to improve things) I grabbed a photo of the great Makybe Diva (side on) and copied her body and head textures to the files inside the actual demo and placed them over the existing horses. Although I only did a quick n rough job it turned out quite promising the fact that I now have photo realistic textures on my horse, albiet a scrappy job.
I'm sure when this game has been out for a while we'll HOPEFULLY get people taking time and adding photo realistic textures as they have in games such as Formula One.

That sounds great YoungGun
maybe some expert / professional designers can help us out and create some modifications and stuff for us..
I also just played the demo and
i thought the Game was great.. Everything was good except the commentary..
The commentary lets the game down IMO..
It's very poor and in the future i hope someone can release a sound / commentary pack or something to fix it..
Maybe Sidhe can improve on the commentary if they decide to release a second MCC

Some may veiw the commentary as poor, but considering most horse racing games come out with no call what-so-ever, and the ones that have just call numbers ect, i think they have done a fine job. It would of been so easy for the makers to take the easy way out and follow other horse racing game programmers and just ignore the race calling.

but you have to think that it is only a demo and they may want to keep somethings a suprise! But if that is in game that is pretty poor and i'd rather no commentary coz that guy's voice is annoying! :)

Commentary rocks, while if they release an updated Version, I think the commentary will be improved, its is hard for teh caller as he has to go through every horse.
It will be interesting if there are any 1000m races, as it sometimes takes the commentary about 800-900m to get through teh field :D
so you may well just hear every horse once and then Ultimate Mount has Won that will make news tomorrow

The commentator could possibly get thru the field quicker if they cut out words like "then, at, next is, next its, at the, about, marker, coming, the. A caller in form usually keeps such words to a min.
Maybe also if they just keep it simple and called the order & margin of just the first 4 or 5 in the home straight untill the finish line, instead of trying to wrap every horse with a sentence trying to make it more exciting, even when there 30 lengths from the lead (for those of us that can get into the 2.21's and lower)
Bear in mind that there are limited 'slots' for horse textures in the game (due to memory constraints)... which means that putting in a homemade texture for a very distictive horse will also mean that that texture will most likely show up on other horses in a race (albeit with differing markings). This is why the horse textures in the game are relatively generic.
One tip - keep in mind the hair colour you would like to match your texture to and replace approriately.. unless you want a chestnut showing up with a grey mane and tail! :)

I agree.... The commentary is a little choppy but at least there having a crack at it.... Its a hell of an improvement on just hearing numbers called.
I think from memory horses you breed & name it will call as well as long as you chose fairly generic names. I think it calls a number if it doesn't know the name?

No i'm new on here.
Another thing that if there were to be another MCC made, i'd like to see the game makers capture the horses running style slightly better.
At the moment they're not striding out far enough. This may have been hard for them to capture because of the fact that a horse needs a lot of room to stride out when it runs and the studio size would not cater for that but it would be good if they could manipulate it to fix that problem for future games.
Very happy with the game tho and i'm sure in time it will become a great series.
