Well, i dont care if this thread is before or not but when is the government going to get off there A*S*S and do someting about illegal downloading?
I might sound like a hypocrite or just contradicting myself because i use [software i won't name here] to download illegally, but the government is just too lazy to do something about this. When they get a bunch of computer nerds and find out who is commiting this crime then i will stop and convert to downloading music the legal way. They took down Kazaa (in which took like about 3 years) so lets see the rest of the illegal P2P programs topple down like a row of domino's even if it take years for god's sake  .
What do you think?

I might sound like a hypocrite or just contradicting myself because i use Shareaza and limewire to download illegally, but the government is just too lazy to do something about this.

I think that they could stop it but it is not actually illegal in some countries so the people in those countries and create a P2P file sharing network and nothing can legally be done to them (may be able to be sued in civil court though by artist etc) and people like us can access them and use them. They will never stop it though as it is simply just put in the too hard basket.

Sometimes I do actually feel genuinely bad for music artists.

They have talent. They should be getting money from having talent.

I don't ^^^ If they put all their good songs on one CD instead of 3 good songs and 11 poo ones they would cut alot of it out, but then again they don't think like that. They think putting out 3 mediocre CDS will make them more money then One awesome CD
To be perfectly honest. I download and then I buy. Its like a interest free scheme. Like The Game's new album, downloaded it, loved it, bought it. Whereas Kanye's album, downloaded it, hated it, deleted it. These guys still make money from me. Downloading just gives you the oppurtunity to hear before you buy.

Well I do buy the albums that I like, like I have the whole Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Pantera and Anthrax discographies all of which have been legally purchased. I mostly us iTunes now to download single songs and if I like that song I will consider getting the album.

Yeah true that. I only sometimes download full albums (legally). But that is from artists that I really don't want to buy the album like Timberlake, Donovan Frankenreiter and Amos Lee. Artists that I like like Game, 50 cent, Jack Johnson and such I'll go out and buy the album.

So many people claim that their emo without being able to justify it.
