Post here the most amount of money you have ever won on horse racing.
I won about $200 a few years back when my dad put some money on for me for Rogan Josh to win the Melbourne Cup. I know it isnt alot, But I dont often put on bets.

I won 4 grand on a first four a few years back when red ogg beat our egiptian raine takeover targert and i cant remember the other horse but it was great i was so excited.
I never bet too much and it's usually on the nose of a donkey paying 5 bucks or so. The best I've ever done was to pick the winner of the dogs on the same track for the 1st 4 races. Netted me about $250 IIRC. Was in rare form, (and yes, I do mean rare!)

I'm the same as heywood, I'd rather bet on dogs then horses. The best win I had was on a trifecta, I put on $5 on straight out and the trifecta paid $160, I ended up getting $800 and something

I won $820 for a 12 dollar easybet, and a couple of other $500 or so tri.
Had $50 on the nose of Prince Ormenium at Caulfield going back a few years. Got up and paid $20+.
Had $5 the win on a horse named Virtual Reality first up at Moonee Valley one day. Saluted paying $80+.
I've only ever taken one Cups double and that was Might and Power in to Doriemus. Got in early and secured odds of $50 @ 50-1.
When Oliver raised his whip passing the post i thought i was in for my biggest pay day. Such is racing.

Put $50 for a place ages ago that paid $18.80 for a place, got $940 odd back.
Also got the trifecta with 5 units getting back about $5100, good day!

I stand corrected.
Obviously the trauma of the event has resulted in some selective memory loss:D

I bet my brother $100 that the zebra in racing stripes would turn into a champion.

$8k on an all up quinella. Used to do these all the time in NZ ages ago. Had a $44 quinella into a $12 quinella into a $15 quinella at the Rangiora Trots. Cost $80 to lay it.
Had a couple of near misses as well.
Had 1st, 2nd and 4th when Kotare Chief won the Auckland Cup. Trifecta paid something like $40k with the favourite coming third. Would have paid about $60k with my horse I reckon. Missed by a ****** head. Finished the day well up courtesy of getting the quinella a few times however.
Had another all up quinella as well I just missed. Had a $32 quinella into a $38 quinella in six horses boxed in the last leg of it at Alexandra Park. Finished 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th and missed it by a ****** nose. I had 65% of the total quinella pool in NZ running on that race with a touch over $18k accumulated into the race. Was a $135 outlay. Would have got back around $20k if it won.
