Wrong. Depends on your opinion
You dont even listen to the music or have any involvement in the culture so your opinion is void. Maybe if you studied up a bit then you would see. Besides i'd just like to point out that the Killers recently did a track with Timbaland. You know who Timbaland is emo boy? One of hip hops best producers.

HipHop/Rap > emo and the Killers.
Although i can't stand most american stuff. I don't mind some Aussie and Kiwi hiphop if it's on Triple J. Hiphop/Rap also has some of the best songwriters ever. Much better then your AFIs, My Chemical Romances and Slipnots.

Good job :D
Add 30 Seconds to Mars, Eskimo Joe (some songs), Halifax, AFI, The Used, The Living End and Nickelback to the bold ones, and you've pretty much got my list.

1. MCR are not emo.
2. MCR have terrific lyrics. They are deep, and all fit within the theme of their album. In the case of their new album, the fine line between life and death. Welcome to The Black Parade is telling the story of 'The Patient', on his death bed, reminiscing about the time his father took him to see a Parade, it was ther happiest time of his life.
Famous Last Words is about the Patient thinking he is close to death, and he wants another chance at life "i am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone". He is thinking that these words will be the last ones he says.

Punk =/= Emo.
My chemical romance: http://www.tvfuntime.com/img/My-Chemical-Romance.jpg
My Chemical Romance lyrics:
hear the sound
the angels come screaming
down your voice
I hear you've been bleeding
make your choice
they say you've been pleading
someone save us
heaven help us now
come crashing down
we'll hear the sound
as you're falling down
I'm at this old hotel
but can't tell if I've been breathing or sleeping
or screaming or waiting for the man to call
and maybe all of the above
cause mostly I've been sprawled on these cathedral steps
while spitting out the blood and screaming
someone save us
heaven help us now
come crashing down
we'll hear the sound
as you're falling down
and will you pray for me?
or make me say don't leave?
and will you lay for me?
or make us change?
cause I'll give you all the nails you need
cover me in gasoline
wipe away those tears of blood again
and the punchline to the joke is asking
someone save us
heaven help us now
come crashing down
we'll hear the sound
as you fall
and would you pray for me?
(you don't know a thing about my sins)
(how the misery begins)
or make us say don't leave?
(you don't know)
(so I'm burning, I'm burning)
and will you lay for me?
(you don't know a thing about my sins)
(how the misery begins)
or make us change?
(you don't know)
(cause I'm burning, I'm burning)
cause I'll give you all the nails you need
(I'm burning, I'm burning again)
cover me in gasoline again

1. Thats an old picture of him. Are you trying to say that because he used to have black hair, hes emo?
2. Like I said before, it's the theme of the album. The fine line between life and death, hence the mention of death in there. Also, what makes you think that the lyrics he sings about have to be about him?
I think you need to see true emo if you think thats emo...
Singing about death doesnt make a band emo. In that case, Red Hot Chili Peppers must be emo since they have a song called Torture Me...

Yeah I know that. Fall Out Boy's worked with Jay-Z and produced with Babybash. that doesn't mean I hate Fall Out Boy cos of that. I listen because of the lyrics. Rock music is very deep (deeper than all the gangsters talking about doing their ho3s) and its nice to know some hip hop producers want a part of that. I'm glad about The Killers and Timberland as it would be nice to fuse some rock and input some hip hop influence into it. Share all the love around. Cos thats not what is happening now by looking at this forum...
Oh and I do have involvement. My sister loves Hip Hop and so do my cousins.

The End is great aye! so The End, Famous Last Words, House of Wolves, Dead! and The Sharpest Lives.
I love them all! lol I love the start of Sleep. Mama and Teenagers didnt appeal to me as much as the other songs. I loved Teenagers when I first heard it, but its kinda gotten old for me.
Did you hear that MCR are bringing out I Don't Love You next? They were looking for people to play a man and a woman in it, and were going to pay them $1000.
Also, have you heard Heaven Help Us and Kill All Your Friends? They were originally meant to be on The Black parade album, but were scrapped. I think they are great songs!!

You have to listen to some Tupac songs if you think all rap is about "doing their ho3s"

Rock can be just as superficial i think youre looking at cheeseball rap that you see on tv or hear on the radio and making judegments from there but thats just dumb. That would be like me thinking i know about rock music cos i heard Linkin Park and Blink 182. There is hip hop with a deeper meaning and understanding out there. Maybe try the Roots, Talib Kweli or any of the Madlib and JDilla stuff. Heaps of it out there.
