Steve Turner's club fiasco has hit another level for himself and his family as he is now slowly but surely going broke as he awaits a decision from the Melbourne Storm and the Gold Coast Titans to make an agreement on the future of this former Melbourne winger.

While this is going about he has been training in Melbourne, but not with his old team mates. As the Storm train on their usual training ground Princess Park, Turner trains alone in their gym.

Due to his future being undecided he has not been paid from either club.

"Apparently I've been getting payments from the Gold Coast but I haven't got any payment from anyone. I'm living on what I've saved up," Turner said.

"I've gone a couple of months without pay so I'm living off my savings, but I've spent a fair bit already and I can't live off my savings forever."

Turner and the Storm chief executive Brian Waldron have tried to hold discussions with the NRL about his situation, but the NRL continue to refuse the registration of his contract to play for Melbourne.

NRL chief operating officer Graham Annesley has stated that the issue is a matter for the clubs to decide.

"Our position is quite clear. While there is a dispute, we have no intention of registering his contract with the Storm,'' Annesley said.

Although Turner does still hope to play with Melbourne once again next season, if the discussions continue on without a decision being reached, he may have no choice but to play for the Gold Coast so he and his family can financially survive.

"I still don't know where I stand and I just wish the clubs would come to some agreement that would allow me to stay where I am.''

Turner is seriously stupid he wanted to do this because it was for the best for his family and now by him doing this its ruining it!

Well if he goes to the Titans, then he will be playing in the QLD Cup for sure, and I don't think Titans are going to give him up without a fight as we have seen.

If I was turner I would go straight to the Gold Coast for these reasons

1-GOLD COAST IS AWESOME
2-Where would he be in Storms backline

1-Slater
2-Geyer
3-King
4-Inglis
5-Quinn/Turner I mean sure stay with the premiers and fight for your un favoured position

3-You are given first crack at Fullback your favourite position and play with a brand new franchise.................................

Umm i actually got asked by the owner of rleague as he enjoyed some of my views on different issues..sadly i dont get payed :( that would be awesome tho but its good fun anyway :) i get to express my opinion and ALOT of ppl get to read it haha and also get to update ppl on the latest news :D :p
