i understand you'd have to use a keyboard/mouse setup for shields/push-pull/and ball release
are you surprised that mouse seems more intuitive for control of the paddle?

I think part of it is that with a mouse its hard to mandate the speed the bat can be moved. I know in other "Breakout" styled game that control the bat with the mouse, you can cheat by shaking it rapidly backwards and forth and never letting anything across the line. It also means that player would be able to retarget with the Shard Storm very quickly, and that means you could risk shooting for a bit longer and then save the ball which is about to cross the line.

We aren't supporting mouse and keyboard and present. Given we haven't had any requests outside yours we would be unlikely to add it.

The FragFX (http://www.splitfish.com/?hid=2) would probably work, as long as you can use their tweak utility to reassign the buttons ( I can't, as it seems their utility has problems with Vista). Frankly I think the regular PSN controller superior.
One thing I did notice about Shatter, is that the controller has to be assigned as Controller #1. I had mine set to a different slot, and couldn't get the game to start.
No big thang, easy to change, just an FYI. Of course if Shatter ever features co-op that'll be addressed, I'd imagine.

For sure you can insert some inline CSS in your articles, unless you disabled that feature in the JCE Group config. Its totally OK to do so.
The only reason why I try to avoid it : sites I create are to give to clients that will modify their site on their own... without any CSS knowledge. So I tend to use classes.
Last thing I can say is that JCE is not putting that much useless code if you integrate your stuff properly...
