well first off i'd like to say, after being on a tropical island for 3 months then to go on the internet for the first time and to discover a rugby league 3 title is scheduled for release was somewhat satisfying, despite the small inconvenience of it being a solo platform release, because i had been craving to see it happen ever since the announcement of rugby league 2. i was then slightly disappointed to discover that the broncos had dropped out of the top 8 after starting the season so well, i blame the dragons and the bulldogs for stealing all their good players.
so i am very pleased to read that there is a.i support play, which i assume means that wingers will be smarter and forwards will run on to the ball.
i am a bit confused about the toyota cup being included, not necessarily because it is there, but because it has being prioritized ahead of the qld cup and the nsw comp, which are undoubtedly better competitions and have more nrl players going in and out of teams weekly.
The bit about 'Advanced player management', i wonder what this means exactly, i can imagine, but i have a pretty wild imagination. Could it mean that player contracts are more in depth? players have morale? player specific training, such as goal kicking, or general kicking?
player of the year, club records, manual rep selections, all top class additions that have been severely lacking, i applaud you magic men with key boards.
so the next question is if this game does prove successful on the wii, what then? pc and ps2 versions? or will sidhe just bide their time, gather more information, more money, more of whatever it is that helps them make diamonds out of coal, then release RL4 on ps3 and xbox 360?
other things that i think should have been included are a new jumping system with different camera angle, im proved goal kicking, inside runners, improved passing and interceptions.
what will the sprinting be like? the old tap for a while then hold?
