Hey Mario is there any moments in game (aside from cutscenes) where camera's get closer to the action or view from a interesting angle? I think this does add something to the game in terms of feeling like the NRL particularly. For example after inputting your goal line drop out or kickoff the camera switches to a sideline low angle to show the kick, as frequently seen in TV broadcasts.
Also Mario will the default camera view still be down/up or will it be left/right as on TV. Just curious as it feels closer to the action when playing left to right

There needs to be a closer camera angle for field goals not just always going to the high angle

Playing left to right is horrible! LOL! No sports games should ever be played left to right.

Side view works well in Rugby 06/08 but I prefer behind.

Not a fan of JLR or pro evo/fifa then? two examples of games where side on works much better

Left to right is okay. It looks very cool when you make a break and it's easier to judge how close defenders are behind your player. However, the side camera in RL2 was seriously broken. When you were at the far touchline, the camera was so far away you couldn't see what was happening and when you were at the close touchline (the one at the bottom of the screen), the camera was so close, your player basically took up the whole screen and you couldn't see what was happening. The camera just needs to move with the play and pan out if the action is too close.

a rugby league game wouldn't work well being played "left to right". From behind you can pick the gaps, line up tackles, and see it as the players would see it. In reference to left to right play, how could you possibly put a player through a hole if you can't see it?

I love playing Rugby 06 on my XBOX, especially when I foce a player into a gap. It looks spectacular when you put a player into a gap when playing left to right.
And then there is JLR, which I consider to be the best Rubgy/Rugby League game in history! When I was younger, that game was my religion! LOL

Someone needs to remake that game exactly as it is with next gen graphics, updated teams and online play. Would sell millions. *hint hint* ;)

You can see fine if the angle is right, and you can see more of your team at one time.Defending going downwards feels weird to me

Left to right is ok but i think it would be a complete different and possibly better game from the side
but putting your players into gaps is better from behind
so i dont mine either way

Yeah but when players don't run into gaps or they run backwards to catch the ball before running into that gap (RL2) then doesn't really matter about the camera angle

It would be good if they have camera angles such as broadcast and television like in the EA games
