I agree with you totally. Just because I stated LP etc were not H.Metal doesnt mean Im a H.Metal lover. I absolutely hate it. With Metal like Korn, MM, Cold there is alot more melody in the music but it still contains the heaviness.

I agree with you here to a certain extent that it was actually Rage Against The Machine that really started off the Nu-Metal scene. Korn developed it even further.
As for Paul, pop rock bands are Maroon 5, Killers, Jimmy Eat World. Now Korn don't come into the same category as them. Oh and how the hell can "Life Is Peachy" be a freakin Pop Metal album. It is hard as hell.

On skill Korn and Limp Bizkit (Wes Borland) are somewhat musically talented and does take a certain degree of skill to play there instruments, Although they don't play it nearly as well as some.


They are no lesser a "Band" than any other band, as they all do the one thing = Make Music

It's when people try to catergorise a band into a Genre that in no way they represent, only because if they are associated with that genre "There Cool" and then it brings the image down...


Limp Bizket arn't Metal.. Arn't Heavy Metal


Korn arn't Heavy Metal... Arn't metal. (There Debut Album could be classed as metal but you'll see the big difference between these and the rapid decline of Korns musical orientation) Songs like Word Up and That one with Ice T...

It's the money hungry music coporations and teenyboppers who create this "Nu-metal" Genre, as they want to be viewed as someone who listens to "Heavy Metal" but not the real heavy metal and not soft Pop Music.

It's fine to like bands like these, But what i am trying to get across is that say people start saying "Hey, Good Charlotte use some pretty heavy guitars in that new album.. They're HEAVY METAL!" when they couldn't be further from the truth..



And then it becomes like Chinese Whispers and before soon you hear Korn created Heavy Metal and Slipknot are the heaviest and most brutal heavy metal band out there...

Nirvana = Overated.
Hmmmm where would he be if he was still alive. I think he would have crumbled away just like the others (Pearl Jam, Pumpkins), and also you have the fact that he was leaving the band because he couldn't write anymore songs that were good enough. And that also Nirvana were a blatant rip off of The Pixies.

The reason he was going to leave was the record label/Industry refused to release any albums unless his songs were more "Watered" down, as to appeal to a greater audience, which in effect would make more money for the label..


In Uetero was rejected 3 times because the songs wern't radio friendly enough, and had to be watered down...

I agree, Nirvana are very over-rated, Ever since Nevermind the mainstream market has been whipping the band to death, trying to milk every last scent it can get..


Thats why my favourite album is Bleach, thats what nirvana set out to be..

The Pixies were largely responsible for the Alt/Grunge movement and laid down the foundations for Nirvana and Pearl Jam to carry it on,Similar, But you can clearly see large differences between the two.

sorry for the double post but no way are korn and slipknot the heaviest. They are most likely the founders of Nu-Metal but not the heaviest stuff. There are alot of different types of metal and Nu-Metal is prob the least heavy. Although it's good music and i listen to alot of dif types of metal.
