Excuse: No Lockyer, Hodges, Hunt, Webcke, Carroll?, Berrigan. Arguably their best 6 players from the grand final not in the team.

Moon should really be at five-eighth with Eastwood on the bench IMO.

EDIT: Scratch that. Eastwood should be centre, Michaels wing, Mzembe or Kemp benched.

In all honest that team sounds like bogus. Parker would play 8 with stagg in backrow and theres no way ennis would play 12 because he is 1st choice if not 2nd choice hooker.

I don't see why the RFL and NRL don't try to arrange it after the Grand Finals when both squads are still in tact. It's never any more than a pre season friendly for the Aussies, we should try and give them an incentive so we actually have a competition that means something...

Tony Carroll would probably play if he misses Tri nations. But I wouldnt be surprised if the ESL team wins this, its a very understrength side. Only 7 of the players listed played in the Grand Final.

Lol Rolande. They named it in the "old" order. 1-7 and then 13-8. Should make sense to you now.

Noo...The WCC is pointless and only the English take it seriously because it gives them a chance to attempt to boast about English clubs being better then Australian clubs.

Our WCC Record speaks for its self.

Dont tell me Aussie teams dont care.

Have a look at the starting lineup from the teams that have come and played in the world club challenge and then tell me they dont care.

I can remember Tim Sheens saying last year "Our main focus is round 1 of our title defence, not the WCC" Or somthing on the lines of that.

It is nothing more then a trial match for Aussie teams. The Australian team has to battle jetlag, under strength teams and the poor weather. Australian teams don't take it serious. End of story.

Regardless of how seriously the teams take out or the lineups they choose, I will never take anything from the WCC for one simple reason.

The sides that play are actually from the squads for the following season. For example, the Wests Tigers won the NRL premiership in 2005. Their 2006 squad played the WCC.. their 2006 squad was ordinary in the NRL and didn't make the finals.

If they want it to be taken seriously, they have to play it earlier with the squads from the season the team actually won the grand final with.

The last side who won the Grand Final and managed to remain one of the top teams was the Roosters in 02/03.. and they won the WCC 38-0.

If teams are any hope of winning the world club challenge, then they should name and put the best team possible for the game. Without the likes of Hodges, Tate, Berrigan, Lockyer, Civoniceva and Carroll, the Broncos are going to struggle.

Stop Talking out of your bumhole... They battle Jet lag????? Does Jet lag last over a week? Under strength teams? Is Johns , Buderus, M & K Gidley Understrength for the Knights Is Wesser, Campbell, Gower & Priddis Under strength For the Panthers? Is Prince, Wathuira, and whoever else for the Tigers Under strength? No I didnt think so.
Bad Weather ? Does it Not rain In NSW ? Did it rain in all 3 WCC,s mentioned, Was it cold ? No I dont think so either ?

You got beaT by better teams!!!.............. Now that is the End of the story.

The Tigers played the entire NRL season this year with a better side than the one that took the field for the WCC. They finished 10th. Enough said.

The fact that the games are played with the squads for the following seasons basically means that it is nothing more than a trial match. If they want it to be taken seriously, they'll use the squads from the season in which the premiership was won.

so u think during th WCC games, the players that go out on the pitch dont try their best? of course they do. next years brisbane team will be the olny under strength side to play in a WCC game in a long time. we have won more, just shut up with your excuses.

i actually cant believe that the pommys care about the WCC. look at the panthers, most of them played half cut and one of them said its just a big up and holiday for them and by the looks of that team it should say what they think of the WCC. its not worth the hassles
