Default Pictures of Salfords new stadium

Salford City Reds spectacular new stadium will be ready start of the 2009 season.

The stadium is part of a £130m development that includes plans for a 210-room hotel, casino and shopping centre.

There has been speculation that Sale Sharks RU will also play their home games at the arena

The club hopes the City of Salford Stadium will give them added pulling power in their bid to lure the game's top players

i read salford turned sale down on the spot because it is in rugby unions rules that if they are to share a stadium then they must have first choice on match dates so salford wernt interested.

the stadium looks great though, i just hope they manage to half fill it.

Looks well smart. Almost as good as Odsal!
Id definatley like to play at that stadium if I was a player.

I wonder how the atmosphere will be with one side high and one side low?

Saracens play at Vicarage Road, the home of Watford FC who have first say.

Wasps play at Wycombe Wanderers home ground

Sale Sharks play at Stockport County's ground

The only problem I can see is that Sale would probably want some blue seats instead of the 'Reds' which is an integral part of Salford's identity.

It's like Leicester City FC old ground, one side a bike shed, the other size a km into the air
